Humour

August 7, 2008

I’m trying to keep the focus of this blog on interesting events in the sceptical community and similar topics and not focus too much on my life as the author. In other words this is not intended to be a personal blog of the “7/8/08: Today we got a kitten” type.

That said I do feel that sometimes a little insight into my thinking process in creating the blog posts might be interesting (or scary or terrifying or, quite likely, mind numbingly boring). But it gives me another topic to post about.

I’m, obviously, trying to make the blog posts as interesting and readable as possible. Two of the areas where I think I need some improvement is in terms of humour and in concluding my posts.

Now these two issues are intertwined I feel as I would really like to end off my posts on a funny, maybe even pithy note. I hope that improving this aspect of my writing would make the blog a lot more enjoyable. (And I know people read it. The blog stats do not lie!)

And here we go. I’ve made a quick note about something and now I want to conclude it and I’m stuck! Ironic isn’t it? Oh well…
